One of the generes of non-fiction books I enjoy the most is popular
books about Biology. Books about Biology, Zoology, human anatomy and
Biochemistry, and especially books about evolution.
The most outstanding author of books about evolution is most certainly
Richard Dawkins, who wrote,
among other great books, the exceptional book "The Selfish Gene",
which is one of the most important books I have ever read. In this and
his other books, he gives a clear and striking explanation on how evolution
really works, using both Mathematical ideas from the field of Game Theory,
and down-to-earth examples from real animals.
In case you were wondering, the picture above is that of a Marsupial Wolf, an animal believed to be extinct since 1936.
